Leaked Memo Suggests New Mustang Dark Horse SC Could Top $100K

Ford Motor Company may be preparing to launch one of its most expensive Mustangs yet. A leaked dealer memo suggests the upcoming Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC could start around $108,485, including destination and gas-guzzler fees.

The Dark Horse SC replaces the outgoing Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and features a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8, though Ford still hasn’t confirmed the final horsepower figure. Expectations place it somewhere between the GT500’s 760 hp and the extreme Ford Mustang GTD.

Buyers wanting maximum track performance may need to spend much more. According to the leaked document, the optional Track Pack adds upgraded suspension tuning, carbon-fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup R tires, a larger adjustable rear wing, and carbon-ceramic brakes. With this package, the price reportedly climbs to $144,985.

An even more exclusive Track Pack Special Edition could push the price to roughly $175,965, adding unique styling details, carbon-fiber trim, and lightweight titanium interior components.

If the numbers prove accurate, the new model would cost significantly more than the final 2022 GT500, which started around $80,795. The big question now is whether the Dark Horse SC’s performance will justify its much higher price.
